  • taking care of your candle helps ensure quality and longevity. it’s best to follow these steps:

    — on your first burn, allow the wax to melt all the way to the edge of the vessel.

    — with every consecutive burn, trim  your wick to 1/4” before lighting. (never leave your wick trimmings in the vessel!)

    — when you’ve reached the last 1/4” of wax, it’s time to clean out the jar and reuse in whichever way your heart desires.

    safety first:

    — never leave a candle burning unattended, or in reach of pets and/or children.

    — do not burn your candle for longer than 4 hours.

    — burn candle on a heat resistant surface.

  • desert bloom:

    top notes:

agave: sweet, watery and slightly earthy. agave is an ancient plant native to the americas.

bergamot: citrusy, green and floral. the fruit is a cross between the pear lemon and orange or grapefruit. growers still respect ancestral methods and harvesting is done by hand.

clove: spicy and woody. clove is prized for its culinary and medicinal properties.

    middle notes:

labdanum: balsamic and ambery. labdanum is a sticky brown resin derived from the cistus plant.

lavender: fresh and herbaceous. bees and butterflies love lavender just like we do.

rose: sweet and floral. the roses most commonly used in fragrance are the turkish rose, the damask rose, and the centifolia rose from grasse.

    base notes:

leather: smoky and velvety. we can attribute much of the scent of leather to the perfumery materials used during the tanning process (cedar, birch, resins, patchouli and vetiver).

musk: animalic and skin-like. musk adds depth to fragrances. historically, animal-derived musk was used in fragrance. croatian-swiss chemist professor leopold ruzicka was the first to synthesize musk molecules, making it possible to make musk fragrances without animals.

tobacco leaf: warm, aromatic and earthy. tobacco is derived from the leaves of a plant from the nightshade family, native to north and south america.
